Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Doulony, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services.

2. Description of Service

Doulony provides a university-focused e-commerce platform and peer-to-peer marketplace that allows students and university personnel to buy and sell goods, arrange services (such as gas refills), and track health records securely on campus. We act as an intermediary for transactions through our escrow service but are not responsible for the quality or legality of items listed by third-party sellers in the Marketplace.

3. User Conduct and Account Security

You must be an active student or staff member with a valid university email to access certain exclusive deals (such as the Student Deal). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

• You agree not to use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• You agree not to list prohibited, dangerous, or illegal items on the marketplace.
• You agree to behave respectfully in all communications (including the Escrow chat and offer negotiations) with other students and sellers.

4. Escrow and Payments

For peer-to-peer transactions, Doulony uses an Escrow system to protect both buyers and sellers.

• Funds are held in escrow until the buyer confirms handover of the item.
• If the buyer confirms, funds are immediately released to the seller.
• If the seller confirms handover first, the buyer has a set window (e.g., 5 hours) to confirm or open a dispute. If no action is taken, the system may auto-resolve the transaction.
• Doulony administrators act as mediators for any disputes opened during the handover process.

5. Privacy and Data Sharing

Your privacy is important to us. Health Hub data and pharmacy records are kept strictly confidential and are not shared with the University Administration unless explicitly authorized by you. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Modification of Terms

Doulony reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will do our best to notify you of any significant changes, but it is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.
